The Lab community was out in full force to support this event.
The team will play in the super-sectional on Saturday.
"We have to create that which we want to see—I wrote House on Mango Street because I didn't see that kind of book at the library," Cisneros said to students.
This marks Lab's third state championship for the girls tennis program.

The science department has introduced an innovative independent study utilizing senior students as teaching assistants, which is reshaping how the advanced science courses will be taught in the future.

Daniel Chang and Amelia Tan were both named as Independent School League Player of the Year. Additionally, Head Coach Marco Fajardo was named the Independent School League Golf Coach of the Year.

the team is most eager to face Depaul College Prep next week during the Maroon’s last home game of the season on Thursday, October 19.

The Varsity Soccer team had a 5–0 win at home against Acero Garcia in the Regional Semifinals.

Junior Paola Almeda won the singles bracket while Freshman Sophia Holt placed second.

Junior Amelia Tan finished in fifth place overall and earned her All-State honors.

The girls golf team made Lab Athletic history as the school’s first IHSA Golf Regional Champions.

An exhibit by alumna Louise LeBourgeois '81, an educator, artist, and writer, will be included in Corvus Gallery within Gordon Parks Arts Hall from September 22–November 17.
